Competitive Programs
O’Leary’s is a USAG registered gymnastic facility with numerous options when it comes to Competitive Teams.
-
Pre-Team Program
The Pre-Team Program is designed for young gymnasts who demonstrate strength, flexibility, focus, and a strong foundation in the sport.
These athletes are preparing for advancement to Compulsory Level 3 and will continue developing the key skills needed for competitive gymnastics.
Gymnasts in this program train four hours per week in a focused and supportive environment.
-
Compulsory Levels 3-5
Levels 3–5 are part of the Compulsory Program, where gymnasts perform routines with predetermined elements set by organizations such as USA Gymnastics (USAG). All athletes compete the same skills in the same order on each event.
Level 3 focuses on building a strong foundation, emphasizing individual growth and skill development as gymnasts begin their competitive experience. Athletes typically attend five to six competitions per season and train approximately nine hours per week.
Levels 4 and 5 introduce a more competitive environment, where gymnasts must achieve mobility and qualification scores at designated meets to advance and compete at sectional and state levels. Athletes at these levels typically attend six to eight competitions per season and train approximately 12 hours per week.
-
Optional Levels 6–10
In O’Leary’s Optional Program, gymnasts in Levels 6 through 10 perform routines that allow them to choose their own skills within specific requirements set by the FIG Code of Points. Skills may be performed in any order, as long as each routine meets the required elements and composition guidelines.
Mobility and qualification scores must be achieved to advance, with opportunities to compete at higher levels including States (Level 6), Regionals (Levels 7–8), Easterns (Level 9), and Nationals (Level 10).
Levels 6 and 7 serve as introductory optional levels, while Levels 8 through 10 require athletes to exceed minimum requirements, placing greater emphasis on routine composition, difficulty, and execution. Gymnasts typically attend six to eight competitions per season and train between ten and fifteen hours per week.

Xcel Levels Silver - Sapphire
O’Leary’s Xcel Program is a great option for gymnasts who want to train and compete in USA Gymnastics with a less rigorous training schedule.
Athletes in the program still have the opportunity to progress and move up through the levels of Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond, and Sapphire.
The Xcel Program is ideal for gymnasts who want to compete while also remaining involved in other sports or activities.
Athletes in this program typically train between six and nine hours per week.
